In our quest to develop more streamlined and efficient systems we enjoy remote processing facilities provided by the majority of our providers. From a mortgage perspective, this means we control the whole process including:
- Producing offers on site
- Instructing draw down of funds
- Taking the whole matter to completion through our direct facilities available through our panel solicitors
- Providing debt management options for clients who do not current meet mortgage criteria, in order to secure enough equity and affordability to sustain a mortgage or simply help manage the debt itself
The advantages of using a packager
- Application form, references and valuation are interchangeable in most cases which means that if a case needs to be replaced with an alternative lender another application form does not need to be completed, references do not need to be re-done and a new valuation does not need to be paid for and carried out.
- The case fits criteria prior to arriving with the lender, significantly reducing the chances of a decline.
- Our valuation fee scales are often cheaper than going direct to the lender.
- Sourcing systems are often inadequate and fail to take into account the ‘un-written criteria’ or ‘what if’ scenarios.
Staff incentives mean our personnel are motivated to process a case thoroughly - each case is important to us.
Why do lenders have packagers?
- Access to immediate distribution – lenders can access 1000’s of intermediaries through a handful of packagers.
- Lenders can outsource sales and processing to a third party, which means that their over-heads are kept extremely low.
- Lenders can lend money for a fixed cost of acquisition – they only pay for completions, not aborted cases.
- Using a packager ensures that cases fit criteria when they arrive with the lender.
Service Standards
We pro-actively measure ourselves against our internal standards the principles of which are as follows:
- New applications and decisions-in-principle will be processed within 24 hours of receipt
- Valuations will be instructed within 24 hours of acceptance if the appropriate fee has been paid, unless we receive an instruction to the contrary
- Procuration fees will be paid no later than 48 hours of receipt from lender
- We will do our utmost to ensure that applications are processed in a professional, efficient and friendly manner.
- We strive to ensure all calls are answered within 10 seconds
- We attempt to deal with as many calls as possible but if not we will return your call within one hour
- You can speak to anyone, whatever level if necessary
- We will deal with any complaints on the same day
