Secured Loans – Regulation Update

From April 6th 2008 the following changes will be made:

  • A consideration period must be given regardless of loan size
  • All loans will have a maximum redemption penalty of one month & one month’s notice (plus exit fees)
  • Loans will come within the jurisdiction of the financial ombudsman service
